WHAT TO EXPECT @
EXTREME THUNDER MMA YOUTH CAMP
We here at the camp have been planning all year for this week. We are anxious to meet each one of you and look forward to your participation in everything we have planned.
Check- in will begin @ 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
Games, and activities will be going on until supper. After supper we will head to the Tabernacle. Youth choir will practice before we hear some THUNDER from the pulpit by Evangelist Cody Zorn each night.
After service let the games begin: ANYTHING GOES....
Breakfast, devotions, and EXTREME’s GOT TALENT will take up our mornings. So come prepared to show us your talent. You will sign up at check -in.
After lunch we will head to the gym for some training in MMA and self defense.We will be training at the Striker Academy in Bristol with instructor Chris Massey and his staff.
Tuesday night we will head over to the local bowling alley for some late night activities. Wednesday night we will meet around the campfire (s’more’s anyone). Get ready to sing and testify into the night.
Thursday night if you can stand on your feet we will all race right over to the Roller Rink.
Friday will be bitter sweet as we crown some winners, clean up and head for home around 11:00 a.m.
Since we are a christian camp, be ready to show us your Bible skills and drills. (You never know when you will need them: KJV Bible -only)
In between all this, we have a hillbilly waterslide, pool, hoops, sports, and games to keep you entertained.

EXTREME THUNDER MMA YOUTH CAMP
RULES & REGULATIONS
Objective of camp:
This youth camp will emphasize the importance of standing up for God and what is right. They will be admonished to physically and spiritually live up to the potential God has put in each person. The self-defense training will teach them how to counter-act against bullying. It is not intended to teach them to be a bully. We will emphasize the spiritual warfare needed to live Godly in this present world through prayer, devotions, and preaching.
We have a fun-filled week planned with activities for all. We anticipate your child coming to get away with friends and build new friendships. Camp should be the highlight of summer for young people.
1. No camper will be permitted to leave the campground without permission from the camp director
2.Conduct and speech exhibited at camp must be in keeping with christian principles
3. All teens will be required to be with their group during the day. They do not have to participate in all activities but they must remain with the group during that time.
3. The use of alcohol, drugs, or tobacco products of any kind are absolutely forbidden.
4. No firearms, or fireworks or knives, allowed
5. In an attempt to disconnect from the physical world and engage more fully with the spiritual world, it is required that campers do not bring the following items:
CD players, ipods, MP3 players,computers,video games, etc.. are not allowed. Appropriate music will be allowed for skits and talent competition, and special music, and are to be approved by staff.
6. All cell phones will be held by counselors during the day. Your child will have a set time to call home during the evening unless there is an emergency. Any other use must be cleared by camp director.
7. While we want you to have a good time, rough horseplay and pranking are discouraged.
8. Sexual misconduct will not be tolerated.
9. Girls and boys are not to be around the others dorms.
10. No wandering off together especially at night by boys and girls.
11. Clothing may not display vulgar, inappropriate messages, offensive advertising or such. Discretion is required.
It is expected that all campers wear appropriate modest attire.
Girls: Daytime training; loose athletic shorts to the knee with bike shorts( or leggings) underneath
ALL other activities: loose gauchos, shorts,skirts, to the knee with t-shirt style shirts. Evening for church, skirts, and dresses. No spaghetti straps, tank tops,bare midreff tops, or pants. T-shirt and loose shorts to the knee over a swimsuit for the waterslide and pool.
Boys: Daytime training: jogging, windsuit, or athletic style pants and t-shirt. pants and shirts during the day and all other activities. Light weight pants and t-shirt for waterslide and pool. Evening services, pants and shirts, casual shoes. NO: tank tops and shorts
*** It is expected that the staff and counselors set the example and follow these rules also. We do understand you may have commitments and need your communication via technology, but we recommend you limit this so you may be present and attentive to invest in the lives of the teens.
CONSEQUENSES: If you break the rules there will be consequenses. if you continue to disobey, you may be dismissed from the grounds and sent home. Extreme will not be responsible nor obligated to refund our fees.
“WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO CAMP”
Bedding: Each person will need a sleeping bag or 2-3 blankets, sheets, pillow, and pillow case.
Clothing: Dress is casual but very modest at camp; we suggest the following for each guest: One pair pajamas
Two pairs of shoes (one pair of tennis shoes, one pair of sandals or shoes) Daily change of socks and underwear, 2 extra of each
Heavy and light shirt; 1 for each day, and 1 extra / sweater or sweatshirt (it can get cool at night on the mountain)
Daily change of trousers or jeans and shirts for the guys and wind suit or jogging pants and t-shirts for training and play
Girls need some dresses for the night services and loose athletic shorts or gauchos/split skirts (knee length) for daytime. Biker shorts or leggings for under their shorts are a must for training sessions.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Is this camp for boys only?
A. NO. Girls are welcome as well as boys. This camp is open to ALL teens 13-19 years old.
Q. We have some girls coming that may not want to participate in the MMA training. Do they have to participate?
A. Although this camp will stress the self-defense for all the young people no one will be forced to participate.
Everyone is expected to be with their group during all activities. It will be each person’s option to train, skate, go bowling, etc.. We have so much planned surely everyone will have something they will enjoy.
Q. My child will be 13 years old after camp is over. What is the age cut off dates?
A. This is teen camp. Any child attending must be 13 before August 1, 2018 when the normal school year will begin
Q. Can my son attend if he is past the age of 19? He is 21.
A. Those that are over the age of 19 years may attend but they will be considered a counselor.
Their actions will be expected of a leader and counselor.
Q. My family is driving several hours to drop our kids off. Is there somewhere local we can stay?
A. We do have camper hook ups available for rent on the camp property. It is $20.00 per night. OR Kingsport and Johnson City
have many motels available. There is also Bays Mountain and a State Park.
Q. Will our youth group be separated for activities?
A. NO. Your teams will be determined by youth groups. If you come on your own, you will be placed on a team with others.
Q. My child is a very picky eater. Do I need to pack lots of snacks?
A. NO. Our kitchen is staffed with a great head cook. We have been known to have the best food ever at a camp.
We understand the eating habits of young people and will do our best to make sure they have plenty to eat.
Q. Will there be snacks available?
A. YES. During certain times of the day we will have a snack stand with goodies & drinks to purchase. Send some extra spending money. At the bowling alley and skating rink snacks will also be available.
Q. What is Extreme’s Got Talent?
A. Based off the popular show, we will have a talent competition each morning after the service. Come prepared to WOW the judges.
Q. When is the drop off and pick up times?
A. Drop off for registration will begin around 2:00 p.m on Monday. We will wrap up camp before lunch on Friday. You can pick up your teens around 11:00 a.m.
Q. What are some of the activities we will do while at camp?
A. Please read our What to Expect page. There will be preaching and singing every morning and evening. Talent Show, Bible drill using the King James Bible, Swimming, Hillbilly Water slide, Bowling, Roller Skating, Tactical Tag, and more......
Q. How are the sleeping areas set up?
A. We have separate sleeping dorms for boys and for the girls. They will need to bring sleeping bag or blanket to make up a bunk bed.
